Consecutive Interpreting
Consecutive interpreting is oral translation after the spoken sentence. While the speaker is talking, the interpreter takes notes, then reproduces what the speaker has said for the audience. They often stand or sit close to the speaker, and use the microphone once the speaker has finished and it is their turn to speak.

Simultaneous interpreting is oral translation parallel with the spoken sentence. The interpreter reproduces what the speaker says while the speaker is still talking, with no delay. In this setting, the interpreter and participants wear headsets.
